Computer Science & Engineering

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering was established at IES Institute of Technology and Managemnt Bhopal in the year 2009 and B.E. degree course for 4 years was started under affiliation from IES University, Bhopal. Seeing overwhelming response from students due to outstanding results achieved by the Department. The department is one of the pioneer departments in the college. The long list of achievements include organization of research conferences, programming contests, personal accomplishment attained by the students, etc. The achievements are imprint of efficiency and dedication of the department towards achieving higher standard of education and organizational goals. The Department has an organizational structure that can respond dynamically to the evolution in Information Technology, and its research fields are closely related. The Department of Computer Science and Engineering is unique and it promotes wide range of research on Information and Intelligence Technology, Basic and Applied Technology, etc.

M3: To enhance employability by inculcating value added skills through programming, workshops, expert lectures, and Industry- Institute interactions and create sustainable solutions for the environment and society.

M4:  Engage students in extracurricular and co-curricular activities for holistic development.

M5:  Motivate competent students for undertaking higher studies and Entrepreneurship

PEO 1: Work as professionals in the area of software development and networking by applying theoretical and practical knowledge of computer science and engineering.

PEO 2: Engage in research, higher studies and entrepreneurship.

PEO 3: Provide concrete solutions to computer engineering problems with focus social, environmental and ethical responsibility.

 

Program Specific Outcomes (PSOs)

PSO-1: To apply foundational knowledge of data structure and networkingin the relevant applications with adequate consideration of social and environmental issues.

PSO-2: To provide a relevant solution based on Machine learning and Artificial intelligence.

Program outcomes (POs)

PO-1: Engineering knowledge: Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems.
PO-2: Problem analysis: Identify, formulate, review research literature, and analyze complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering sciences.
PO-3: Design/development of solutions: Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety, and the cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.
PO-4: Conduct investigations of complex problems: Use research-based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions.
PO-5: : Modern tool usage: Create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and IT tools including prediction and modeling to complex engineering activities with an understanding of the limitations.
PO-6: The engineer and society: Apply reasoning informed by the contextual knowledge to assess societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to the professional engineering practice.
PO-7: Environment and sustainability: Understand the impact of the professional engineering solutions in societal and environmental contexts, and demonstrate the knowledge of, and need for sustainable development.
PO-8: Ethics: Apply ethical principles and commit to professional ethics and responsibilities and norms of the engineering practice.
PO-9: Individual and team work: Function effectively as an individual, and as a member or leader in diverse teams, and in multidisciplinary settings.
PO-10: Communication: Communicate effectively on complex engineering activities with the engineering community and with society at large, such as, being able to comprehend and write effective reports and design documentation, make effective presentations, and give and receive clear instructions.

Introduction of Head of the Department (HoD) - Computer Science & Engineering at IES Institute of Technology and Management, Bhopal

Dr. Anubhav Sharma is an Associate Professor and Head of Department of Computer Science Engineering at IES Institute of Technology and Management, Bhopal . He received his M. Tech degree in 2012 from RITS and He earned his Ph.D. degree in 2023 from RNTU Bhopal He is a compassionate and dynamic leader with a tenacious focus on systems, processes, timelines, and quality.

He has a rich academic experience spread over 16 years, with his core focus area being R& D. He has an active research profile with numerous publications, memberships and participations in conferences/workshops. His areas of research include Adhoc Networks, Cloud Computing, Machine Learning, Data Science, Big data analytics. With a great amount of zeal and enterprise Dr. Sharma has processed, synthesized, synchronized different data base and documented.

Dr. Sharma is an extremely motivated personality with an unwavering commitment to results and outcome.
